I recently purchased a Holmes Basic box set in solid condition at a decent price. More interesting was the typed adventure log also in the box:
It is nine pages long, corner stapled. It seems to be an adventure log, though it's mostly character dialog. I suppose it could just be a piece of fantasy fiction, not the result of game play. It begins:
TALES OF THE PRONOMIR: The Assault on the Enchanted Island and the Naar-rescue of Lefty from the Agents of Charia.
Adventurers: Berrywin, Alligar, Bozomus, Beska Miltar, Ignatius, Veronica, and presenting Ansrotibilus, Asper Selenia, Cosomus, and the Great Cha Kha Khan!
Merchants from all over the Northern Realm make a point of trading among the many small shops fond in the northern streets of Brelin. There they can purchase the finest cloth, the best spices, and the most potent alkaloids. One small shop attracts a fair percentage of the most affluent merchants. There they can acquire frozen fire gems, fashioned by the expert skills of the great lapidary Cha Kha Khan.
...
On the back of the last page are addresses and stamps indicating that it was mailed in July 1980 from someone (I can't make out the name) in the Dept of Chemistry at UCLA to a Dr. Wendy Fuller in Maryland (I digitally rubbed out the address), who apparently played the character named Asper Selenia.
Anybody know anything about the "Tales of the Pronomir"? Was it a published adventure? Excerpt from a published fantasy story? Did you, or somebody you know, play in this game?
