The Lair of the Spider Mother adventure was released in 1985 by a third party publisher known as Mercury Games. David Elliott was the author. He published at least two other items including To The Aid of Dwarves another rare module.

There were a number of small and obscure third party publishers in the early to mid 1980s that released items for AD&D but in my research Mercury Games was one of the more obscure. Many of these small publishers were located in California, and a few in the Midwest in Milwaukee and Chicago, but this one was located on the East Coast in Connecticut.
