Does anyone know about the differences between the 1978 version of Dimensions and Doors

The '79 cover features a dragon about to snack.

I am pretty sure that the covers art is the same but the graphic is a different size.

The 78 version is the ebay one listed, the 79 version has a differnt cover, red, with a more realisistic version of a dragon and a fighter

Oh. I guess there are a number of printing of this then. I guess both of these are 78. Covers have the same art but one says "What?? Me Evil???". Any idea which one came first?

Here's my '79 cover:

It has 24 single-sided, unnumbered pages. The would-be page 22 mentions "this revised edition," so the content may be different.

What's the book about? Is it a rules supplement for Tunnels & Trolls? Is it of any use to D&D?

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Designed principly for T&T, it was sufficiently universal that D&D players could use the contents.

Back then you could not say "for D&D" or even "compatible with" without hearing from a lawyer.

Loomis (Flying Buffalo) was much more fan sensitive.

Long ago and far away, I published books...

First print (left) Orange cover, hand drawn copyright sign, 1978

Second print (right) Red cover, 1978, "What?? Me Evil???" on cover, address for T&T from Flying Buffalo on last page

The colour of the cover page is pretty subtle, pics does show it well at all

so i have the 1978 1st ed 1st pr (which is orange) and the 1978 1st ed, 2nd pr (which has a lime-green cover) and the 1979 2nd ed (with a purple cover) and you know what? they all blow. backgrounds that are both boring and defy credulity (a tough mix). i think he averages 3 misspelled words per page, although some sentences have 3 by themselves. i didn't realize just exactly how bad these were until tonight. thanks Brette, i want those 20 minutes of my life back (which reminds of their one saving grace: not much content per book as they are single-sided and spaced like a teenager typing a term paper).

well that was not exactly a thoughtful thorough review on my part, more of a body slam really, but I do think it accurately reflects the slurry I was wading through in the wee small hours of the morning. but thanks for the nice thought Dave :-)

Don't think I have seen the green one.. I see it listed on afterglow2... I've bee pulling some duplicates out lately and looking at differences..
