Anyone here admire (or at least like) the Lejentia publications?

I believe I have everything but a couple of the comic books...and those can be had.

I like what I see...but did anyone else like them?

There is an additional Lejentia item you have not mentioned......

It is a set of special dice used in Lejentia (by Lejentia?) for divination.  

I have a set.

They are five white D6's....with Lejentian runes on them in red, green, blue, orange and black.

Included with the set is a two-sided sheet of paper that obviously came with them in their original blister pack.  The sheet gives color text about the rune dice and how to use them to derive rather arcane and suitably obscure answers to divination questions.

The Runedice of Lejentia were created by the Airelite Elves who are blessed with great luck and the ability to "feel" the future.

I don't have a book like that...only a sheet of paper.  Possibly, the sheet is the actual contents of the book.



Yes, the text relates these dice directly to Lejentia.

Flying Buffalo sells these packs at GenCon every year, don't think its new, just some old stock. Don't know of any dice though, just the books and comics.

I recently picked up those dice with the book.  I have the pdf of Elves of Lejentia Mythos Pack - Flying Buffalo but there appears to be no ebay sale of it nor the third comic book. I've been thinking of picking this series up for a while.  There is a listing for Campaigns 1-3 but research shows they are little more than little newsletters.  I mean, for collection sake that's fine but I was wondering if anyone had looked over these and what dud they think.  Reading about these Aelves shows they are huge!  I wasn't expecting that.  I generally like this style of book from Flying Buffalo but I hadn't realized Central Casting series has books as well. Dungeons looks interesting?  Is it random generation tables or something?

A quick note on the publishing side.  I believe Task Force Games and Flying Buffalo were separate companies, though Flying Buffalo handled the distribution and publishing crossovers for TFG's Catalyst / Lejentia line, which is why FBI stickers show up on TFG stock.

You were correct on those Campaigns 1–3 items.  They are thin, newsletter-format releases rather than full sourcebooks. Worth picking up for the completionist, but fairly light on content, otherwise.

As for the Central Casting series, the whole line, including Dungeons, is built on detailed random generation tables. While Heroes of Legend and Heroes for Tomorrow, and Heroes Now! use detailed tables for character backstories, Central Casting: Dungeons uses that same procedural system to generate complete dungeon origins, histories, and ecological layouts. It's essentially a worldbuilding toolkit rather than a standalone adventure module.
