I was looking at the White Bear & Red Moon that bclarkie put up on ebay.  I think it came with a single sheet of 252 counters.  If you count the holes in the sheet there are 14 x 18 = 252 of them.  I have that edition (1976), though my reference sheet is yellow and I don't appear to have the index sheet.

I have an unpunched 1976 copy; 19 counters are blank, leaving 233 relevant to the game [there are no additional counter sheets]. My reference sheet is yellow too, plus there are two customer-response postcards. The ziploc baggie in the auction has the same red stripe mine does.
