Egg of Coot painted another batch of minis for me.  These are all 25MM scale or used by me at that scale.

I can't wait to actually see them up close. :D

I have all of those! Even the Frost Giants. We must have been buying our sweet lead minis at the same point in time, BJ!!!

Interesting.  Help me out.  I bought a large lot of loose minis which included the Frost giant on the right (in the group of four photo) and the gnoll on the right.  In both cases I had to guess which weapon went with which mini.  Is the gnoll's sword close to, or exactly like, the original?  

Also, I know the frost giant's sword is not close to the original as it was flimsy and thin so I replaced it (it's a shame you can't see it better in the photo), but is his axe/maul thing close to, or exactly like, the original?  Not that it is that important, but I was just curious. :?:

The gnolls from the 11-series RP line were supplied with a selection of weapons (3-4 IIRC).  I'm almost completely sure that the weapon wielded by the right hand gnoll was one of those in the original blister.

Yeah, I think I looked at a picture somewhere and tried to find something close.  And heck, even if it is the wrong sword, it looks great.  I realize that Frankensteining things is heresy to some folks, but it's my collection for my use deadgum it! :x   :wink:  

Seriously, I suspect the main problem with frankensteining (is that even a word?) items is when its done knowingly but not reported in auctions/resales. 8)

It is done all the time, replacing weapons is very common.  Most miniatures are collectable only in the package anyway.

It not not referred to as frankensteining  but more like converting.  Converting is very accepted in miniature circles and even encouraged by the miniature companies.  Check out this "conversion"

I feel like breaking my brushes (and files, etc...) across my knee when I see stuff like that!  That's really impressive  8O
