i hope that some of the miniature geeks/sages happen to have a look at this one:
bought a white metal miniature recently on ebay for cheap (some 54mm tall) -- it looks like a lizard man / saurial shaman or rogue. don't have a digital camera myself, so the picture was taken with a friend's cell phone.
the base has very basic info: STEAI (or STEAL) © 2000 -- nothing else. the miniature is really an awesome sculpt, so i'd like to find out who the manufacturer is and if there are more in this series, possibly.
thanks much in advance.

crappy pictures substituted with quality scans.
bottom of the base reads probably one of the following:
SCEAI. © 2000
SCEAL © 2000
STEAI. © 2000
STEAL © 2000

I think the scale is likely 40MM or 1/48.
It might have been produced by scared blade minis, a 40MM scale manufacturer which is now out of business.

It also looks like something Graven Images would produce:

I thought it could be Scale Creep Minis(except they don't make 40MM):

Truth is worth finding and life is too short to work for money.

ben, thanks for the links.
it turns out that it's part of a promotional release edition for the game everquest (iksar / lizard man) -- "sceai" stands for "sony computer entertainment america, inc.").
next step is to find out how many miniatures were part of this promotional release.
