Hi,

the Lost shrine of Kasar-khan, by Integrated Games.

I've seen pics of this boxed, but picked up a collection today that has one that appears to be a folio.

All the bits are attached in the middle of the main book. It could just be a missing a box of course, but it seems a bit odd to attach everything in the book.

Anyone know if it is a box, a folio, or if there were more than 1 version please?

Two versions: one boxed and one not boxed.

There have been a few of these for sale recently.  The unboxed seems to be more common.

I was watching these recently (although price was too high for me), but I did ask the seller if it was complete. I hadn't seen the unboxed until this one though

$60 US seems to be about the price they are selling for right now.  Frank's copy sold for about the same:

Kasar-Kahn is by far the hardest of the four to find. Prices are high at the moment for these sets also. Good time to sell. Boxed set seems to sell for $10-15 higher than the booked version.


This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

thanks for that.

Out of interest, do the other sets also come in 2 versions, or just as boxes?

There were Halls of the Dwarven Kings and  Watchers of the Sacred Flame in the lot also, but they are both boxed.

The others are just boxes but may have different prints.  At least 3 different prints of Dwarven Kings, etc.

I'm searching for the boxed set of Kasar Khan (I have the folio in complete and near mint condition), boxed set is very hard to find, it seems effectively easier to find the folio print, few ones have been sold recently. A recent sale of a boxed set was too high for me, I remember that all sets were caught by the same buyer.
About the three printings mentioned for the Halls of the Dwarven Kings, is there some distinctive signs for each of them ? I recently got a set with a box that seems different from the one I bought many years ago, the box is  not "varnished" as the other one, which may explain why the condition of the box is not very good.
