I have seven D&D-related belt buckles: 3 lizardmen, 1 brass wizard, 2 red enamel platinum wizards, and 1 ultra-rare red enamel platinum RPGA belt buckles. A lizardmen belt buckle recently sold on eBay for $6,000. I cannot find sales for the others. The red enamel platinum RPGA buckle is one of three made and it is relatively certain it is the only one still in existence. What are they worth individually and as a set? The system only allows me to add 3 files, so I didn't provide a picture of the brass wizard, but it is the same as the red enamel platinum wizard buckle, but in brass without any enamel. Thanks for your time and consideration.

Hello, welcome to The Acaeum!

Please take a moment to introduce yourself to our members - we’d love to learn a bit about you and hear more about the fantastic belt buckles you’re looking to sell.

You can introduce yourself here:

Introduce Yourself, Fellow Collectors

These belt buckles are rare and highly collectible. To maximize their value, it would be best to list them separately as individual auctions with a reasonably low starting price. This approach will help ensure they sell for the best price possible.  You will want to provide any details / provenance related to the belt buckles, too.

Once your auctions are live, be sure to advertise them here in our Classifieds section:

Classifieds

Alternatively, you might consider working with a specialist in rare collectibles - especially for items related to notable people that were associated with TSR and other role-playing game companies. Some members here specialize in selling such items and may be able to assist.  They do charge a fee for doing so, but it might be worth it, especially if you have other items you are planning to sell, as well.  This also might be a better approach, if these happen to be part of Brian Blume's personal items.

As far as valuations?  It's hard to say, since there's not a lot of sales history on these, especially in recent times.

Some rough guesstimates:

Lizardman Logo Belt Buckle     $4,000-$6,000
Brass Wizard Logo Belt Buckle  $1,000-$1,500
Red Enamel Platinum Wizard Logo Belt Buckle  $2,000-$3,000
Red Enamel Platinum RPGA Belt Buckle  $3,000-$4,000

If these belt buckles were part of a notable person's collection, the sales prices could be even higher.

Hi, welcome to the Acaeum. Are you the same person that had listed and sold this belt buckle on ebay recently?
